There are two "trees" included in these genealogy pages. One is my ancestors, both my mother's and my father's families. The other is my children's Hawaiian ancestry

My mother's family is from New England, Canada and Sweden. Most were here very early on, some coming on the Mayflower, and others following closely behind. My maternal grandfather's family was from Canada, most immigrating from France in the 1600's. The one exception is my maternal grandmother's mother, who immigrated from Sweden in 1892 when she was 21 years old.

Some of the names in my mother's family are CASTOR, BLANCHARD, NILSDOTTER, RICH, DAVIS, COMBS, ADAMS, LANGUIRAND, CASSISTA and MARTEL.

My father's family is harder to trace. My paternal grandfather's family immigrated to Virginia, then migrated to Kentucky, and finally ended up in Indiana. Records for these areas are much scarcer than for New England and Canada. My paternal grandmother's family was from New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Some of the names in my father's family are NICHOLSON, EMERSON, MELIGAN, SPEARS, HATTABAUGH, SPRINGFIELD, ROBERTSON, CASE, ROUNSAVELL, DALRYMPLE and BOLING.

My children's Hawaiian ancestry is based on census records and a few pages of typed genealogy done by one of their family members several years ago. The main name in that tree is KELII.

The vital records section is a transcription from published vital records books. At this time it includes all of Braintree, Massachusetts, and part of Dedham, Massachusetts. Please read the information files first. They are very important to using these vital records successfully.

Some of the information may be in error, but is a best guess at this time.  Other information has been verified.  Before taking anything you see here as gospel, please email me and ask if it is verified. If you see anything you know is wrong, please let me know.
